Burnley are reportedly advancing with a £10 million move for Aston Villa youngster Aaron Ramsey as they look to bolster their midfield ahead of their Premier League return.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Middlesbrough last season as he netted five goals and contributed one assist in 11 appearances for Michael Carrick’s side.

Ramsey’s fine form in the Championship has caused a lot of excitement at Villa Park over his potential involvement this season, but he could now be set for a permanent move.
That’s according to transfer news reporter Alan Nixon, who claims via his Patreon that Burnley are going ahead with an offer in excess of £10 million to try and pry Ramsey away.
It’s said the Clarets will hope the promise of more game time will be enough to convince the player, though it awaits to be seen if the touted fee is reasonable from a Villa perspective.

His older brother, Jacob, has become a regular starter at left midfield but it’s unlikely he’ll follow in his sibling’s footsteps immediately, with plenty of competition for places.
