Aston Villa are ‘willing to listen to offers’ for Scottish midfielder John McGinn.

That’s according to Football Insider who claim Steven Gerrard isn’t totally sold on the 27-year-old, despite him featuring in every Premier League game in which he was available for last season.

They also add that McGinn hasn’t been the easiest player to manage behind the scenes which again comes as a surprise considering how popular he appears to be among both players and staff.

If any of the above does ring true, it could leave the door ajar for both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Spurs have expressed interest in McGinn this transfer window as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his midfield options whilst United were floating around back in January, though talk around a move to Old Trafford has quietened since.

The Scottish international finished the 21/22 season with 3 goals and 4 assists in 36 appearances for the claret and blue.
