Gareth Southgate will announce his latest England squad on Tuesday afternoon as the Three Lions prepare for a quartet of Nations League fixtures next month.

Southgate’s men kick off their campaign when they visit Hungary on the first Saturday of June before facing a second away day against Germany three days later.

A first home game of the Nations League arrives on Saturday 11th June and then a hectic schedule is completed when Hungary at Wembley 72 hours later.

The usual suspects are expected to be named in Southgate’s squad with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice, Phil Foden and Harry Kane all expected to be involved after impressing throughout the Premier League season.

Aston Villa capatain Tyrone Mings has been a regular in the England squad in recent years but his performances for the claret and blue this term have left the fanbase split.

With the form of other fringe centre-backs like Newcastle United defender Dan Burn and Burnley’s James Tarkowski, his place may well be in jeopardy.

Ollie Watkins however has seen his odds shortern dramatically to earn a spot in the 25 and if we’re basing solely on the statistics, he deserves it.
