Matt Law, a Football News Correspondent for the Daily Telegraph though disputed the reports, and said that Spurs ‘insisted’ that they had no interest in McKennie.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano backed that up and said that Tottenham are not working on deal to sign Weston McKennie. He added that talks were ongoing over the Douglas Luiz, Samuel Iling Junior and McKennie swap deal, with the exit conditions of McKennie the final part of the deal that needed to be concluded.

Hide AdAston Villa and Juventus have reportedly been working on a deal that would see Iling Junior and McKennie head to Villa Park in exchange for Brazil midfielder Douglas Luiz. Luiz and Iling-Junior are reported to be happy with their terms, but the hold-up is Juventus agreeing on exit terms with McKennie.
Villa might need to move some players off of their books after announcing losses of £119m in their 2022/23 accounts. A fear of a points deduction after punishments were given to Everton and Nottingham Forest because of Profit and Sustainability rules have made Villa consider moving some players off their books.
One player that looks set to depart is Tim Iroegbunam who could move to Everton. The Toffees are said to be in advanced talks about signing the 20-year-old for a fee of around £10m.
