Aston Villa’s season finale against Brighton & Hove Albion will now be televised in the United Kingdom after a last-minute change to the Sky Sports schedule. The broadcaster has announced it will show the vital clash at Villa Park in addition to two fixtures that were previously agreed.

Sky were only going to air Leicester City v West Ham United and Leeds United v Tottenham Hotspur with the relegation fight going down to the final day, but Villa’s late charge for Europa Conference League qualification has earned them a spot in an already congested line-up.

If the Villans beat Brighton on Sunday, they will play European football for the first time in over a decade, making it a very exciting watch. Those who aren’t fortunate enough to be there in person were going to miss out but now have the option to tune in if they so desire.

Brighton have already confirmed their spot in the top six and Europa League, so they have nothing to fight for. The Seagulls have also had less preparation time for the game having played on Wednesday against Manchester City and Roberto De Zerbi decided to give his squad two days off afterward.
