Aston Villa and Wolves have nine and eight Premier League games respectively to land a European spot ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
For Villa, the task is an enormous one but they will be buoyed by the fact they have achieved similar when steamrolling their way to a place in the Championship play-offs in 2019.
Wolves on the other hand are well placed sitting just four points behind Manchester United who occupy sixth.
Regardless of whether either of these two land a spot in what will likely be the Europa Conference League, both will probably reflect on the season as a whole as a success.
After a rocky start Villa leveled out well under Steven Gerrard whilst Wanderers have been punching above their weight all season when you look at the lack of the investment they made compared to those around them.
But if either are to achieve a spot in the promised land, how many points will likely see them there?
Due to the EFL Cup winners (Liverpool) and FA Cup winners (Liverpool or Manchester City) already having places in the Champions League pretty much sewed up, whoever finishes seventh will land a Europa Conference League spot.
This is the points total that has landed seventh place from each of the last 10 seasons.
