Hide AdThe ex-England international has failed to regain his form of old following a long injury lay-off, with just one goal scored in eight appearances during the season just gone. Abraham’s first campaign in Italy was a huge success, however, as he netted 17 and assisted a further four in 37 league matches.
Villa have consistently been linked with re-signing Abraham, who performed heroics to score 25 goals during the vital 2018/19 promotion season. The 26-year-old was even on the verge of joining for £26 million last summer but a significant knee issue caused the deal to collapse.
The interest could again be invigorated as Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb reports Abraham is on the chopping block at Roma. It’s said I Giallorossi must raise around €10 million (£8.5 million) to avoid rule breaches and, although Abraham is unlikely to sell for so little, Roma’s desperation should allow for a bargain.

HITC reported at the start of May that the Hammers are among those keeping tabs on Abraham following his injury return. It’s claimed the striker, who has scored 26 goals in 89 career Premier League appearances, would be interested in returning to England.
