This is how the Premier League table would look if VAR wasn’t involved this season for the two Birmingham clubs and the rest of the division.

There are only a few rounds of fixtures remaining in the 2022/23 Premier League season with the title, top four and relegation battle all still in the balance.

The season is as good as done for Wolves who have secured their Premier League status and, although they could still push for a top half finish, it looks unlikely. Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s hopes of sneaking into the Champions League qualification spots is also as good as done with several clubs standing in their way but Unai Emery’s side still need to ensure they reach the Europa League.

As ever, VAR has been at the centre of some controversial decisions but how would the table look if the technology had not been active this season? Here is how the Premier League would currently sit without decisions made with the assistance of VAR:
