Here is the Premier League table without VAR - where Aston Villa, Wolves and others stand

Here is how the Premier League table would look if VAR wasn’t implemented this season.

Like a majority of teams in the Premier League, Aston Villa have had their fair share of VAR incidents this season - some overturned and some not.

Examples that have gone against Villa are when Ezri Konsa’s yellow card was upgraded to a red for his challenge on West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen in October, as well as Ollie Watkins’ equaliser ruled out as offside earlier this year.

A recent study by ESPN tells us how the Premier League table would have looked without the use of VAR this season.

The research was released on March 31, so we have added the latest round of results to each team’s points tally.

Steven Gerrard’s side currently sit 11th in the top-flight on 36 points.

Would Villa be in a better or worst position without VAR? Well, the answer to that is the former as we take you through the Premier League table in full.
