It’s fair to say that Unai Emery played a massive part in turning Aston Villa’s fortunes around this season and guiding them to European football qualification.
The Villains managed a seventh place finish under the former Arsenal gaffer who will now have his first summer transfer window and a full season to try and improve on that. Prior to his appointment, Villa were struggling at the wrong end of the top flight table and things could have ended up being very different.
