The Premier League is widely thought of as one of the best footballing divisions in the world - if not the best- and a lot of the reason as to why is down to the physicality and passion shown during every match day.
It’s also very unpredictable, as one weekend you’ll see a top-four side lose to a relegation contender and the next you will see the complete opposite. The sheer unpredictability of the division makes it very exciting to keep tabs on.
What can make it even more thrilling is the plenty of disciplinary actions set out by match officials, with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) sometimes even dishing out severe punishments.
All this has made us wonder, which teams in the Premier League have totted up the most cards this season and can therefore be judged as the ‘dirtiest’ clubs?
Ranked by the most ‘points’ collected - one for a yellow, three for a red via a second yellow, and five for a straight red - here are the dirtiest teams in the English top tier this campaign, sourcing data from Transfermarkt.
