Aston Villa suffered a dent in their European hopes as they were narrowly beaten by Manchester United on Sunday, putting an end to a remarkable 10-match unbeaten streak. Unai Emery’s side are very much still in the fight, though, as they are level on points with Tottenham Hotspur and two behind Liverpool.
Brighton & Hove Albion, who are currently in eighth spot, are two points behind Villa but have three games in hand, whereas Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have one extra fixture still to play. It’s all rather tough to predict with most teams with very different-looking run-ins but thankfully there’s a tool to make things easier.
Data experts at FiveThirtyEight have been simulating all the remaining matches to create the final league standings - and there are some very tight gaps at the end of the campaign at both ends of the table. Without further ado, here’s how the predictions look, from 20th all the way to the title winners.
