Aston Villa are closing in on the signature of Everton left-back Lucas Digne with Talksport reporting that the player has now accepted personal terms at Villa Park.
Numerous fellow Premier League clubs are said to be interested in the Frenchman but just like they did with Philippe Coutinho, Villa look to have won the race.

Hide AdLeft-back is an area that manager Steven Gerrard highlighted as one that was in need of improvement the second he walked through the door and just a couple of months into his tenure - he may well have his upgrade.
Before his turbulent last few months under Rafael Benitez, there weren’t many better in his position than Digne.
In fact, according to WhoScored.com - the 28-year-old was sitting pretty atop of the full-back league table in terms of average match rating before his expulsion from the side.
And only one player has had a higher rating than him in both 2018/19 and 2019/20 - Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold. That’s not bad company to be in.

The suggested fee for the Frenchman seems to sit anywhere between £20m-£30m but after looking through the statistics, that could be a steal.
Digne has scored six goals and provided 20 assists in 127 appearances for Everton and with how Gerrard likes his teams to play - those figures could look even better in the claret & blue.
Would you like to see him put pen to paper at Villa Park?
