Aston Villa are back in Premier League action tonight as they travel to take on Nottingham Forest away from home. The Villans will be keen to build on an upturn in form which has seen them achieve three matches unbeaten, including a surprise 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Last time out, Steven Gerrard’s side were left frustrated as they shared points with 10-men Leeds United at Elland Road; Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra sent off after receiving two yellow cards. Villa managed 19 shots and seven on target throughout the match but were ultimately unable to break down the resilient Lilywhites.

Now though Villa have another opportunity to get some points on the board as they take on the newly-promoted Forest. The Nottingham side penned manager Steve Cooper to a new long-term contract on October 7 but they’ve been unable to put together any convincing form as of yet.

Forest currently sit at rock bottom of the Premier League with just four points out of a possible 24, and they have lost five games on the bounce. The most recent of these was a 4-0 thumping away at local rivals Leicester City - who themselves have struggled this campaign.

Gerrard and his team will be licking their lips as they take on the out-of-favour Reds, especially as a victory could soar the Villans up into the top half. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of kick-off, including what time the game starts, how to watch the game live on TV, and how to catch up on the highlights.
