It looks like Aston Villa striker Danny Ings is set to join West Ham United with it being widely reported that the 30-year old is in advanced talks with the London club.
The departure of the former Southampton striker, who has scored seven goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season, would leave Villa lacking depth at the top end of the pitch with Ollie Watkins the only out and out senior centre forward at their disposal. However, it is the January transfer window and there are plenty of options out there if they want to recruit a new number nine.
Here are nine strikers that Aston Villa could potentially sign this month as a replacement for the outgoing Danny Ings:

5. Ben Brereton-Diaz
The Blackburn Rovers forward has been linked with a move to almost half the clubs in the Premier League and plenty from further afield but now could be the right time for someone, specifically Villa, to place a bid | Getty Images

6. Chris Wood
Nottingham Forest are supposedly negotiating a deal with Newcastle for the former Burnley man - perhaps Villa could hijack that move and add another dimension to their attacking options | Getty Images

7. Duvan Zapata
Another player linked with Everton who West Ham were also said to be monitoring before signing Danny Ings - like Dembele, a side less threatend by relegation (like Villa) might be a more appealing destination | Getty Images

8. Michail Antonio
Villa could end up swamping a striker for a striker with the Hammers and capture one of the league’s most experienced and consistent goal scorers with a move away from the London Stadium looking like a real possibility | Getty Images
