World famous Hollywood star comes to watch Man City v Aston Villa

Footballer Jack Grealish looks like he made a new best friend recently - and the friend came all the way from sunny Hollywood in the USA.

Former Aston Villa player Grealish, who is now with Manchester City, was pictured with Will Ferrell - who is renowned for his energetic humour. Grealish posed with the American comedian, actor, and producer - and star of much loved Christmas movie Elf.

Ferrell made a visit to Etihad Stadium to watch the Man City v Aston Villa game. He was is in the UK to support Wrexham - which is owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Ferrell was seen in a pub in Wrexham before their match as well.

On Sunday, before the Aston Villa vs Man City, Ferrell joked that he was in Manchester to find players for his MLS side Los Angeles FC. Grealish met the actor. The footballer posted their photo on Instagram and wrote: “’Did we just become best friends?’what a man!!!”

Manchester City also posted about the star’s visit, sharing a picture of Ferrell with the match ball ahead of the game. They wrote: “Looks like we’ve got a visitor at the Etihad this afternoon!”

Will had earlier been seen on Sky Sports discussing the game alongside former Manchester United players Gary Neville and Roy Keane. When asked about his trip across the Atlantic, the American said: “I’m on a recruiting trip for LAFC, I’m seeing if [Man City] measure up to the MLS (Major League Soccer).

“I don’t really have a side over here, I just enjoy following all the storylines, it’s obviously a very good league.”
