Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has revealed that midfielder Leon Bailey will be sent for an MRI scan to determine the extent of his latest injury.
The Jamaican looked to pull up when chasing down the ball midway through the first-half in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City and looks to be set for yet another spell on the sidelines.

“He’s got a problem that we will analyse,” Gerrard said.
“He will need an MRI scan.
“Really disappointed to see him go off because he’s started to look really sharp.
“But listen, I’m going to expect a few little niggles here, there and everywhere because the training intensity has gone up and we need to do that.
“We need to work hard so we’re going to have to analyse it and see how he is.”

“It’s a muscle problem.
“We’ll have to wait and see in terms of length and time and how long he will be missing.
“But obviously he’s going to be out at the weekend.”
