Here are the latest Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers transfer news stories on Saturday, April 1:

Leeds United in late move to hijack Aston Villa deal

Per a report from Football Insider, Leeds United attempted to hijack Aston Villa’s deal for Celtic sensation Aidan Borland. It is claimed the Yorkshire club tried to ‘ambush’ the deal for the 15-year old who looks set to join up with Villa’s academy.

However, the move is said to have failed and Villa have now reportedly agreed a £300,000 fee, rising to £1.2million with add-ons, for the teenager. It is also claimed that the Glasgow side did offer Borland terms to remain at Celtic Park but the youngster was keen on a move south of the border.

Wolves target ‘yet to decide’ on future
