Villa are currently just two points ahead of Tottenham, and Manchester United are now within five. We have also calculated a 10-year average by taking the team who finished fifth and adding one point to their total.

Just keep in mind that fifth place may yet be enough to secure Champions League qualification, with two extra spots up for grabs for the two best-performing nations in Europe this season, but England are not currently tracking as one of those two nations.
