It’s been a long slog of a season so far for Aston Villa. Plenty of highs, numerous lows and a bit of everything in between.
From the season kicking off in August with expectations as high as they’ve ever been to them coming crashing back down after the opening day loss.
To beating Manchester United on their own patch for the first time in what felt like forever and those expectations soaring through the roof once more.
A change in manager, a huge January which saw Philippe Coutinho of all people sign on the dotted line at Villa Park leading up to where we are now, a tough February finished off with an important win away at Brighton & Hove Albion.
All that and we’ve just crossed the half-way mark!
It feels like a lifetime ago since Villa even had a blank midweek which they find themselves with now. A full week to rest and recover before the next all important fixture. Unheard of!
So to fill that little hole, we’ve hard a search through the 2021/22 archives so far to bring you 15 cracking pictures of the campaign to date.
