Fulham v Aston Villa team news - eight out and one doubt

Latest injury and team news ahead of Fulham vs Aston Villa in the Premier League - including an update on Tyrone Mings.

Aston Villa travel to the capital this weekend as they face Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League. The Villains hope to put behind them their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Villa Park last Sunday.

Douglas Luis equalised after Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring but Scott McTominay won it for the Red Devils. As for Fulham, they were victorious as they beat Bournemouth 3-1 at home. Bobby De Cordova-Reid opened the scoring and then Rodrigo Muniz scored a brace for the Cottagers.

Fulham are 12th at the point of writing and could overtake Wolves in 11th if they can overturn a four-goal deficit. A defeat and a positive result for Bournemouth could see them overtaken but Marco Silva's side are likely to remain just below mid-table for the weekend. Villa could get back in to the Champions League spots should Spurs drop points against Villa's Midland rivals Wolves this weekend.

The West London side possess a good record against Villa and have won three of their last four home games against them, and have kept clean sheets in four of their last five games at Craven Cottage. Four of Villa's last five games against Fulham have been won by them and they have a good record against teams from London, winning their last nine matches against opposition from the capital.

Villa have had a bad week when it comes to injuries with Boubacar Kamara ruled out for the rest of the campaign. Kamara was hoping to be a part of France's EURO 2024 squad but will now spend the next few months on the sidelines. It could prompt Unai Emery to give an opportunity to youngsters Tim Iroegbunam and Lamare Bogarde who could make a push to be a part of the match-day squad.

Diego Carlos is said to have reported a hamstring problem and now Villa will take a closer look at the defender. Villa could be left with just two centre-back options, and it is an area that is of concern. With all that in mind, here's the latest injury and team news ahead of Fulham versus Villa.
