All you need to know ahead of the Carabao Cup quarter final draw as Aston Villa hope to progress.

Aston Villa hope to reach the last eight of the Carabao Cup as they host Crystal Palace at Villa Park on Wednesday (October 30) night.

The furthest Aston Villa have got over the last decade is when they reached the semi-finals in 2013, losing to Bradford City who lost to Swansea City. Unai Emery has transformed Villa in to a side battling relegation to playing in the Champions League, but some silverware would go down a treat with the supporters.

The majority of the Round Four ties will be played on Wednesday, but already two teams have booked their place in to the next round. Brentford and Southampton overcame lower league opposition in Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City to reach the quarter finals.

The other matches this evening are Brighton & Hove Albion against Liverpool, Preston North End against Arsenal, managerless Manchester United versus Leicester City, Newcastle United against Chelsea, and the televised game which is Spurs v Man City.

Despite only two teams assured of a place in the next round, the details for the next stage have emerged. Here’s all you need to know ahead of tonight’s cup draw.

When is the Carabao Cup draw?

It takes place following the conclusion of the live televised fixture. Supporters will be waiting a little bit for it as Spurs against Man City doesn’t kick off until 8.15 pm, a whole half-hour after Villa against Palace kicks off.
