Aston Villa have been linked with a transfer swoop for Coventry City midfielder Callum O'Hare.

The Sun are reporting that West Ham are interested in O'Share as well as Hull City's Jacob Greaves. In O'Hare's case it isn't just the Hammers interested in him from the Premier League with Villa and Fulham keen as well as Southampton who are hoping to join them.

O'Hare scored in the FA Cup final for the Sky Blues against Manchester United earlier this month and is attracting plenty of interest. He was offered a new contract to remain at the CBS Arena but hasn't yet signed it as he keeps his options open. Coventry cannot finish in the play-off places and face another year in the Championship so it could be now or never for O'Hare to make that jump.

He has played in 34 games in all competitions this season after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained last season. He has got 10 goals and four assists including netting four times in Coventry's run to the semi-final.

The one-time England under-20 international has been with Coventry for the last five seasons and has made 180 appearances. Most of his career has been spent in the Championship, appearing 135 times in the second tier of English football.

O'Hare began his career with Aston Villa, joining as a seven-year-old. The Solihull-born midfielder was at the club until 2020, departing having made six nine appearances for the club. He is a close friend of Jack Grealish after the pair came through the ranks together at the same time.

In an interview with BirminghamLive in May 2021, O’Hare backed his decision to depart: “I think it has shown why it was the right decision to come back to Coventry.

“I knew I wanted to come back here after my loan spell ended because the fans were great with me and the way everything was, with the players and the coaches there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to come back, especially after getting promoted and I’m so glad that I did now.”
