Aston Villa vs Southampton team news: NO Digne OR Konsa for Villa

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has made a couple of changes from the side that got a much needed 2-0 win away at Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.

Calum Chambers and Ashley Young both get surprise starts in place of Ezri Konsa and Lucas Digne who have no place in the team whatsoever.

It looks like two enforced changes for Gerrard who will no doubt have questions to answer post match.

The team in full then sees Emiliano Martinez keep his place in goal with a back four of Matty Cash, Tyrone Mings, Chambers and Young.

Central midfield stays unchanged with Douglas Luiz, John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey with the same front three that got the job done against Brighton - Danny Ings, Ollie Watkins & Philippe Coutinho.
