Team news ahead of Aston Villa vs Legia Warsaw in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Aston Villa are in decent shape ahead of their UEFA Europa Conference League clash with Legia Warsaw on Thursday but have four players set to miss out. Two of these are long-term absentees whom Unai Emery is used to not having available, but the other two are decent utility options.

Nicolo Zaniolo is the main doubt as he wasn’t included in the matchday squad for the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The Italian, who picked up a knock on international duty remains a doubt for this one, particularly with other left midfielders in the squad enjoying spells of good form.

Powerful winger Bertrand Traore, who was a hero last season with superb goals against Nottingham Forest and Leicester City, hasn’t been involved recently due to some muscular tightness. Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia and central defender Tyrone Mings are still a very long way off recovering from their respective anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
