As Villa prepare for the new season, they are helped by the presence of a number of new signings amid a busy summer so far.

And we could yet see the Lions add to their squad, with Gerrard getting every chance to put his own stamp on his squad.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Villa Park:

Laimer unlikely

Villa have been linked with a move for Konrad Laimer this summer, but it seems the RB Lepzig star is not likely to go anywhere.

“[We have] discussed [internally] what would need to happen so that we might open the door for a change”, Leipzig’s managing director Oliver Mintzlaff Sport Bild via Inside Futbol.

“[But the probability that the midfielder] stays with us in the coming season [is] significantly higher [than] that he plays somewhere else

“[He is] a very important part of our game, we would be very reluctant to give him up.

“What the player wants always plays a big role [in any decision we take], [but] on the other hand, the targets of the club are always greater than that of an individual.”

Chukwuemaka price tag

Villa are said to have put a price tag on young star Carney Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka has been left out of Villa’s Australia tour amid uncertainty over his future, refusing to accept a new contract.

The youngster has less than a year to go on his current deal, and Villa may be forced to sell him this summer as a result.

They won’t sell the young star on the cheap, however, with Villa placing a £20million price tag on Chukweumaka, as per talkSPORT.
