The interesting Aston Villa transfer clauses - according to Football Manager 2024

Football Manager 2024 has published an update which has reflected what has gone on since the winter period.

Sports Interactive's last version of the game came out in November and since then, gamers have put in countless hours in to the football management simulation game. Last week, FM24 had its winter update which reflected what happened in the January transfer window as well as most of February. Managerial changes have been made as well as points deductions handed out, and now you can live through that again.

Villa had a fairly busy January as they made several signings whilst also allowing some of their players to depart. The major signing that they made was Morgan Rogers who joined from Middlesbrough for a reported £8m. Joe Gauci joined from Adelaide United to provide competition to World Cup winner Emi Martinez whilst Kosta Nedeljkovic joined from Red Star Belgrade but was loaned back out to the selling club.

As for those who departed, Leander Dendoncker was allowed to go to Napoli and then an injury to Boubacar Kamara left Villa fans wondering if that was the right decision. Finn Azaz was recalled from his loan at Plymouth Argyle and then sold to Middlesbrough. Betrand Traore's contract was ripped up and he was allowed to go to Villarreal on a free transfer.

Transfers aren't so straight forward or easy and even in Football Manager 2024, there's plenty of layers to getting a deal done. You can organise things in instalments or be subject to rules with loans. If you're taking over Villa you'll be tasked with all kinds of things such as your tactics, training schedule and other things. One thing you can look at is transfers from previous seasons, and if you'll have to pay anything should you decide to part with any of your players. There could also be some potential windfalls too.
