Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa ‘keen’ on signing Michael Kayode from Fiorentina
Both Tottenham and Aston Villa are interested in a move for Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode, according to a recent report from Italian outlet Firenze Viola. Spurs are looking to find a replacement for Emerson Royal, following reports that the Brazilian international will be leaving North London in the summer - however, Villa are also looking to seal a deal for the player.
Spurs and Villa aren’t the only Premier League club who are thought to be in pursuit of Kayode’s signature - reports suggest that moneybags club Newcastle United also have an interest in the player and could make a move for him before the summer transfer window slams shut.
At the age of just 20, Kayode is currently playing at a level that is well beyond his years. An adaptable player, he can play as a right back, a left back or as a right-sided midfielder. Nevertheless, his primary position on the field is at right back.

Wolves’ Ki-Jana Hoever to ‘undergo medical’ at Sheffield United ahead of loan move
Sheffield United are having a busy transfer window following their unceremonious relegation from the Premier League last season. To bolster their squad, they are looking to seal a loan deal for Wolves’ Ki-Jana Hoever, according to Football Insider.
This has previously been reported - today, it has emerged that the 22 year old is set to undergo a medical ahead of his move to South Yorkshire. Having lost Jaden Bogle to Leeds United, the Blades need to sign a new right back before deadline day creeps up on them.
It looks highly unlikely that United will sign him on anything other than a loan basis. Hoever is under contract at Wolves until the summer of 2026 - while he may not be ready to be a regular starter in their senior team just yet, he is nonetheless highly rated by Gary O’Neil. Should he impress audiences at Sheffield United next season, we could see the Liverpool academy graduate take on a senior role in Wolves’ squad in 2025/26.
