“I think the manager was massive/ I had some great conversations with him and he convinced me Villa was the right place for me to take the next step.

“I was really happy someone like Steven Gerrard called me and had a good chat with me. I’m really looking forward to it and, hopefully, we can bring Villa back to the right way.”

League Two have option to buy attacker

Caleb Chukwuemeka sealed a late loan move to Crawley Town.

The attacker has been given the green light to leave Villa Park to get some more game time under his belt.

As per the League Two side’s official website, they have an ‘obligation’ to buy the player when his temporary spell there ends.
