Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings was videoed making a travelling supporter’s day with a kind gesture after the Villans’ 2-1 comeback win over Brighton. Unai Emery’s side made it two successive victories in the Premier League as Danny Ings scored his 100th and 101st career league goals.

It wasn’t the best start for Villa as Alexis Mac Allister dispossessed Douglas Luiz and netted an opener within just 49 seconds, but a resilient performance in response helped Emery’s men claim all three points. The Villans head into the World Cup international break in 12th position - a far better platform to build from.

The away support understandably had a very good day out today, but one fan in particular was subject to a special unexpected treat from Mings. Walking over off the field, the Villa centre-back removed his shirt and handed it to a young fan, who looked absolutely delighted as a result.

If a glorious victory wasn’t already enough, the supporter got more than they bargained for. Well worth the admission fee, that’s for sure. Mings was seemingly unphased today despite missing out on the England squad for the World Cup, but even if he was, he made sure to turn a negative into a real positive with this kind gesture.

Mings and the Lions will have to wait around six weeks until their next Premier League outing - at home to Liverpool on Boxing Day, December 26. Emery’s side will face a fitness test against the Spaniard’s former side, Villarreal, on December 15.
