Hide AdLuiz ‘decision’
Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz reportedly wants to depart this summer. Gazzetta dello Sport say the Brazilian has decided to pursue a new challenge ahead of next season, with Juventus among the clubs reportedly interested.
It would be a big blow for Unai Emery to lose Luiz ahead of next season, but the Brazilian, if he does go, would bring in a big fee and allow Villa to find a replacement. According to reports, Weston McKennie and Matias Soule are both in consideration by Villa.
Summerville news
Alan Hutton believes Villa might be able to get their hands on Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville this summer. He told Villa News: “He’s had an outstanding season hasn’t he? His numbers are quite incredible. Having got that close to promotion, he probably wants to test himself at the highest possible level and he will want to be in the Premier League I’m pretty sure.

If Villa come in and test them with a £30million offer, it is probably something that they will look at because they will have to balance the books. They won’t want to lose him, but I think he could get into that Villa team and be another option for them. Don’t get me wrong, Morgan Rogers has done really well, Jacob Ramsey is there and they’ve got Moussa Diaby, Leon Bailey, they’ve got lots of options but that’s what you need in the Premier League.
“He’s definitely got the potential to get to the next level and with what Unai Emery did for Rogers, he’s been outstanding so I think he could really improve Summerville as a player.”
