Aston Villa star among most ‘influential’ footballers on social media whilst Man United, Man City men dominate

The top 10 most ‘ifluential’ Premier League footballers has been revealed...

Aston Villa midfielder Philippe Coutinho is among the Premier League’s most ‘influential’ footballers on social media.

That’s according to Odds Scanner who have analysed the follower counts and engagement rates of the division’s most popular stars and in turn, deciphered just how much money each can earn on average per post.

Coutinho is unsurprisingly Villa’s leading man with him amassing an enormous fan base following his stint with Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Brazilian, at the time of writing, has nearly 25 million followers on Instagram making him not only one of the league’s most popular men but making him one of the most popular sporting stars in the world.

And still, that number absolutely pales in comparison to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, who leads the way by an utterly ridiculous margin.

Five time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo has an incredible 452 million followers on Instagram alone. For what it’s worth, I’ve got nearly 1,000, so who’s the real winner?

Below, we’ve created a table of the top 10 Premier League players and aside them stated how many followers they have, their engagement rate and what ‘potential earnings’ that could make them per post.
