Aston Villa have recalled midfielder Aaron Ramsey from his loan spell at Norwich City after the 19-year-old sustained a knee injury. The 19-year-old made 20 appearances for the Canaries after joining in August, but the decision has been made for him to continue his rehabilitation at Bodymoor Heath.
Scoring three goals and contributing assists for three others, Ramsey was a big success at Carrow Road but it appears his injury, which was picked up at the start of December, will have prevented him from making much more of an impact.

The Norfolk-based side relieved head coach Dean Smith of his duties on December 27, along with assistant manager Craig Shakespeare and first-team coach Liam Bramley. The Canaries are yet to appoint a replacement, though it is expected a new face will be in the dugout by the weekend of January 7-8.
It remains to be seen what Ramsey’s return date is likely to be, but based on the decision to bring him back to Villa, it is likely to be a fairly long spell on the sidelines for the England youth international. The plan will be to keep a close eye on his recovery and there will be no rush to get him back in action.
