Aston Villa goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo has been omitted from the Villans’ pre-season tour of Australia as he closes in on a season-long loan deal to League One side, Burton Albion.
That’s according to a number of reports that state that the young shot-stopper will likely complete his move to the Brewers today.

It was rumoured last week that Sinisalo could be on his way out of Villa Park to get some game-time elsewhere but after playing 90 minutes in Villa’s first pre-season game of the season in the 4-0 win at Walsall, there was potential that he could yet stick around.
That will not be happening though as Sinisalo will now miss the trip down under to link up with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men and hopefully get some valuable first-team minutes under his belt in East Staffordshire.
The 20-year-old who captains Finland’s under-21 international side, spent the 2020/21 campaign with Scottish Championship side Ayr United and will now head out for his second loan since he joined the claret and blue back in the summer of 2018.
