Aston Villa’s interest in Manchester United wonderkid Harry Amass is well documented at this point and now the Villans are looking to step up in their chase of the defender.
According to a report from Fichajes, Villa are willing to pay a fee of 15 million euros (£12.5 million) for Amass’ signature. The Spanish outlet also claim that they have put forth an offer for the player, though this remains unverified.

Hide AdAmass could be a solid long term replacement for Lucas Digne. The Frenchman is enjoying a strong season at Villa Park but he is now 31 years of age. He isn’t getting any younger and will need someone younger to take on his mantle in the not-too-distant future.
While Villa have Ian Maatsen in their squad, who has performed strongly in the Champions League, they will need another left back to act as a rotation option.
However, United reportedly have no interest in allowing the 17-year-old to leave Old Trafford. In a report from Football Insider yesterday, the Red Devils are set to ‘block’ any potential transfer moves for Amass, as he is part of their long-term project and is one of their ‘brightest’ academy stars.
As things stand, Amass has yet to make his first team debut for the Red Devils. He has represented England at various youth levels - currently, he plays for the Three Lions’ U18s team. He joined United in the summer of 2023 from Watford - previous to this, he had been with the Hornets since 2016, when he was just nine years of age.
