Aston Villa and Wolves are currently gearing up for their Premier League games at the weekend against Arsenal and Chelsea, respectively - in the meantime, let’s see what the two clubs have been up to on the transfer front.
illa have been linked with a Tottenham midfielder in recent weeks. While it is understood that he is keen on a move to Villa Park, they are not the only ones who want to bring him on board, as he has also received interest from Saudi Arabia.

Aston Villa given boost in Giovani Lo Celso transfer race
Aston Villa have been given something of a boost in the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso. According to a report from Spanish outlet Ole, the 28 year old would like to move to Villa Park to be reunited with former head coach Unai Emery. They worked together at Villareal - Lo Celso spent two different spells on loan from Spurs with the Yellow Submarine.
Ange Postecoglou has not figured Lo Celso into his plans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season - furthermore, the player is said to want to leave the club for a fresh start. He has made 49 Premier League appearances during his time with the Lilywhites, scoring three goals along the way.
Despite Villa’s apparent interest in the player, they are not alone in the race for his signature. Jose Mourinho’s Galatasaray and Saudi Pro League outfit Al Qadsiah have been linked with a move for the Argentinian international - however, Al Qadsiah will only make an effort to bring him on board if they fail in their bid to sign Paulo Dybala from Roma.

Wolves fans across the globe were dismayed when their star player, Pedro Neto, left the Molineux Stadium to join Chelsea for £53 million this summer. They were not alone - Wolves goalkeeper Tom King is also sad to see him go, revealing his admiration for the Portuguese international in a recent interview.
King said that Neto was ‘completely above anything I’ve ever seen’ in terms of his technique and prowess with the ball at his feet. Furthermore, he also mentioned that training was ‘too easy’ for him, noting the nonchalance of his ability and natural talent.
Speaking on the Official Wolves Podcast, King claimed: “Technically, completely above anything I’ve ever seen. To see Neto over an extended period, technically, the most gifted player I think I’ve ever come across in my career.
“Some of the things I saw him do. Sometimes we’d be doing finishing drills and there’d be no point me stood in there because he’d just be bypassing me like it was easy for him. Most of the time it was too easy for him.”
