Aston Villa could add yet another winger to their ranks in the January transfer window - Unai Emery’s men are thought to be in the hunt for Boca Juniors star Kevin Zenon.
This is according to a report from Spanish outlet El Crack Deportivo by journalist Jonathan Riniti, who wrote: “Aston Villa wants [Kevin] Zenon. They have been following him since before the Olympic Games, so they are considering presenting an offer to take him away from Boca and make him a teammate of Dibu Martinez.

So far this season, Zenon has made 12 league appearances for Boca, notching up a single assist along the way. Primarily a left winger, he can also play in slightly deeper roles if he is called upon to do so.
Should Zenon make the jump to Villa Park, he would face major competition from exiting members of the squad - players such as Leon Bailey, Jaden Philogene and Morgan Rogers are all more than capable of fulfilling his role on the pitch. Additionally, he may not come cheap - Boca are under no pressure to sell him, as he is under contract with the club until 2028.
Furthermore, Villa are not the only Premier League club who have been linked with a move for the Argentina U23 international. Newcastle United, Manchester United and Liverpool are all thought to be interested in his services - internationally, Real Madrid could also make a swoop for the player. As such, Villa will need to fend off some stern competition if they wish to be success in their pursuit.
