Midfielder targeted

As per a report by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Aston Villa are keen on Inter Milan midfielder Valentin Carboni, who has been linked with fellow Premier League sides West Ham and Brentford recently. He has spent this season on loan at Monza in Serie A to get some experience under his belt.

The 19-year-old, who is an Argentina international with one cap to his name to date, joined his parent club back in 2020 and they have a decision to make on his future when he returns to the San Siro. He has made 27 appearances in all competitions in this campaign, chipping in with two goals and four assists.

Promotion winner eyed

Aston Villa have again been credited with an interest in Leicester City Wilfred Ndidi along with Newcastle United, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Fulham via a report by TBR Football. Unai Emery’s side are one of a few teams ‘keen’ to snap up the Nigerian midfielder on a free transfer in late June when his deal at the King Power Stadium runs out.

Ndidi has helped the Foxes win promotion from the Championship this term at the first time of asking under Enzo Maresca and their fate was sealed after Leeds United were battered 4-0 away at QPR on Friday night. However, his future is up in the air amid reported attention from other teams.
