Here’s the current state of play ahead of the next match.
Leon Bailey
Injury: Quad muscle
What we know: Bailey pulled up 30 minutes in in the defeat to Manchester City when chasing back to help the team defend. It’s a quad muscle injury that Gerrard says will keep him out ‘for the foreseeable.’

Matt Targett
Injury: Knock
What we know: The left-back was forced off midway through the second-half in the defeat to City. He took a big knock in an aerial 50/50 and looked highly shaken up. Isn’t too serious but is enough to keep him out of the Leicester game.
Potential return date: Liverpool (A) December 11
Danny Ings
Injury: Set-back on previous soft tissue problem
What we know: Gerrard revealed that Ings had suffered a set-back to his previous soft tissue injury that will force him out of the Manchester City game at the very least. He stated that it wasn’t a ‘big set-back’ but didn’t give a time-frame for a possible return.
