Aston Villa could be given a huge boost for the Newcastle United game with the Magpies sweating on the fitness of one of their key men ahead of the clash.
Kieran Trippier has become an instant hit on Tyneside since his move from Atletico Madrid and his superb free-kick in the victory against Everton midweek put the cherry on the top of what was a man-of-the-match performance from the former Tottenham Hotspur right-back.

“We don’t think it’s a long-term injury but we’ll have to make a late call for this game,” Howe explained.
“He has been so important for us.
“He was outstanding against Everton. It would be a big blow to lose him, but we’ll see.”
The Magpies are already missing one full-back ahead of the fixture in Matt Targett.
