Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is reportedly keen to secure a cut-price deal for Borussia Dortmund defender Thomas Meunier.

A report in German publication Bild has suggested Dortmund are willing to allow the Belgium international to depart this summer if they receive an offer worth around £3million. The report also states the Bundesliga giants are keen to get Meunier off their wage bill this summer as he currently earns around £7.3m-a-year, a figure that is said to be within Villa’s reach if they do opt to make a move for the veteran defender.

Should a deal be reached between the two clubs, Meunier would be handed an opportunity to reunite with Villa boss Unai Emery after the duo worked together during the Spaniard’s time in charge of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. The 62-times capped Belgium star would bring significant experience of featuring in European competition as Villa prepare to enter the Europe Conference League during the upcoming season.

Several clubs are reportedly monitoring Silva as he prepares to return to Molineux and one report in Spain has suggested Sevilla are considering a move for the 20-year-old.

Vamos Mi Sevilla have reported the reigning Europa League champions are looking to move on high-earning duo Youseff En-Nesyri and Rafa Mir and new sporting director Victor Orta is looking to replace them with either Silva or Leeds United forward Rodrigo.
