Brereton Diaz has been Blackburn’s star man for some time, and he is being heavily linked with a move away from Ewood Park this summer.

Villa are being linked, but they are not expected to be one of the main contenders for the Chile international.

Bednarek problem

Villa are being backed to make a move for a centre-back ahead of next week’s transfer deadline following the injury to the Diego Carlos.

One defender they have been backed to sign is Southampton defender Jan Bednarek, who is said to be pushing for an exit this summer.
