Former Aston Villa and Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie has made a shock return to English football, signing for EFL Championship outfit Swansea City. The winger, who is described by many as a 'streets will never forget' player, has signed a short-term deal with the Swans.

Bolasie was a free agent after leaving Turkish side Çaykur Rizespor at the end of last season and it has taken a while for him to find a new club but Swansea have taken the plunge. The forward scored 19 games in 53 league games for Rizespor, helping them secure an immediate return to the Turkish top-flight following relegation.

Swans boss Michael Duff will be hoping Bolasie can propel his side to similar heights as it has been a tricky start to the season. Although now 34 years of age, last campaign's success proves Bolasie still has plenty left in his locker.

Known best for his flair and dribbling, Bolasie's longest spells have been at Crystal Palace and Everton but he also had loans at Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting Lisbon and Middlesbrough. The forward could make his Swansea debut on Wednesday's trip to Leeds United.
