Aston Villa and Wolves’ updated predicted Premier League finishes after dramatic weekend

The experts have had their say on the rest of Villa and Wolves’ campaign.

After a disrupted September, the Premier League returned this weekend with a full round up fixtures.

While Aston Villa held on for a point in a 0-0 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road, Wolves were sunk 2-0 in a damaging defeat against West Ham.

That result saw Wanderers slip into the bottom three, and ultimately led to the dismissal of manager Bruno Lage.

As yet, there is no concrete indication as to who Wolves will bring in to replace the 46-year-old, or whether they will have a new appointment in place by the time they face Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

As for Villa, their next outing comes against Nottingham Forest.

But how have the weekend’s developments affected both clubs’ prospects for the season?

We’ve taken a look at the latest predicted table from stats gurus FiveThirtyEight to find out.
