Aston Villa and Wolves’ new predicted Premier League finishes after fresh twists
It was a mixed weekend in the midlands.
For Aston Villa, there have been few performances this season as emphatic as Saturday’s 4-0 win over Southampton.
Steven Gerrard’s men strolled to victory against an in-form Saints side to bolster their hopes of a top half finish, with an assured attacking display proving too much for their visitors at Villa Park.
By contrast, however, Wolves’ hope of European qualification suffered yet another blow as Wanderers slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace.
That result was Bruno Lage’s third in a row, and leaves his side eight points off the top four with just 11 games left to play.
But how will both sides fare over the remainder of the campaign?
We’ve taken a look at stats gurus FiveThirtyEight’s latest predicted Premier League table to find out.
