Watkins has become a menace for defenders to deal with and is arguably in the best form of his career to date. Confidence is sky high for the former Brentford man, who is now Villa’s top scorer with nine – two ahead of recent departee Danny Ings. It will not be easy for him to claim the Premier League accolade, however, with five other worthy nominees listed.
