In a post shared on Twitter on Tuesday night, he said that Nottingham Forest agreed a deal to sign Moreno and that a medical was booked for Monday morning.

Moreno reportedly was subject of interest from Spain and Turkey, but now will remain in the Premier League. As part of the agreement, he will be unable to play against his parent club when the two meet on December 14, and April 5.
Manager Unai Emery confirmed last weekend that Moreno was close to leaving the club after being left out of the squad against West Ham. Lucas Digne started before being replaced by summer signing Ian Maatsen, and now the Spainiard feels comfortable with the strength in depth in that position.

“We were thinking to be strong in this position and Alex Moreno is a player who he is now close to leaving."
Aston Villa signed Moreno from Real Betis for £13.3m and he was the first signing under Unai Emery. In the 18 months he's been in the Midlands, he's made 48 appearances, providing three goals and three assists.

With Samuel Iling-Junior arriving from Juventus this summer, and also looking for a move away albeit on loan, Villa are seemingly happy with the left-side of their defence, and are willing to part with one of the first players that got on board under the Unai Emery reign.
