League Two club confirm free transfer capture of Aston Villa, Cardiff and Middlesbrough man after QPR spell
Former Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah has signed with League Two outfit Walsall.

Hide AdThe 36-year-old joins the Saddlers having spent the last few weeks on trial. He came up against his former club Villa in a pre-season friendly and showed his appreciation to the club that he holds so dear to his heart.
Adomah was a free agent after his contract at QPR expired, and he has now dropped two divisions to prolong his playing career. He spoke of his intention to join a club in the Midlands when he left the Hoops and he has now got his wish, after opting to join Walsall.
"Now that I’m officially a Saddler, I can’t wait to get started,” Adomah said to the official club website.

Hide Ad“I started off in League Two at my local club Barnet nearly 16 years ago so now I’m back in League Two where the journey started.
“I’ve had so many achievements in my career, getting promoted twice from the Championship with Aston Villa and Middlesbrough. Hopefully I can achieve that fate with Walsall, that’s the intention.
“It’s a young group, but with my experience, hopefully I can help the youngsters."

Hide AdWalsall are getting a player that has the most appearances in the EFL Championship since its inception in 2004. He had been at QPR for the last four seasons, and registered six goals and nine assists in 130 games for the West London side.
He is remembered fondly for his time at Aston Villla, having joined in 2016 for a fee of around £5m from Middlesbrough. The 19-time Ghana international spent three years as a Villa player and helped them win promotion to the Premier League.
In total, he appeared 125 times for Villa, with 22 goals and 21 assists. Adomah was let go on a free transfer in 2019 and joined Nottingham Forest, but didn't feature too many times there, and later had a loan spell at Cardiff City.

Hide Ad“I’m delighted Albert has decided to commit this part of his career with us,” Adomah's new head coach Mat Sadler said.
“There were some options that I had in that right wing-back spot that I was considering but then Albert came in and completely changed all of that with the way he’s gone about things, his experience, the person that he is, the way he conducts himself around the group and most importantly what he does on the grass.
“His professionalism and dedication to keep playing and put himself as the best athlete he can be is unquestionable and that delivery and quality in the final third will be a real force for us this season.
“How he’ll help with some of the younger ones as well, his delivery and the way he puts himself about, I’m really looking forward to see.”
