27 free agents still available after Premier League release, including Aston Villa, Brighton & Brentford stars

One summer transfer window and a record £2.36 billion amount spent on new signings later and the Premier League is well into its 2023/24 season. Every club in England’s top flight brought in new personnel over the last few months and plenty of player sales were also finalised.

Not every departing player was involved in a cash deal either. A large amount of Premier League stars were released from their respective clubs following the expiration of their contracts and there are still as many as 27 without a team.

Including stars who last played for Aston Villa, we’ve rounded up the names of every player who is still available to sign as free agents following September’s Deadline Day, according to Transfermarkt’s database.
