Aston Villa’s pre-season tour of Australia came to a close this past weekend with their final outing coming against old foes Manchester United in Perth.
It was a complete wash-out of a game that was in danger of being postponed prior to kick-off but it did ultimately go ahead and those in attendance were treated to a competitive 2-2 draw.
United had taken a 2-0 lead in the first-half through Jadon Sancho and an unfortunate own-goal from Matty Cash but the claret and blue fought back in the second, goals from Leon Bailey and Calum Chambers making sure the spoils were shared.
